The Aluminum Alloy Core XLPE Insulated Steel Wire Armoured PVC Sheathed Cable is a power cable designed for applications requiring high mechanical strength, reliable electrical performance, and cost efficiency. It features an aluminum alloy conductor, XLPE insulation, steel wire armouring, and a PVC outer sheath. This cable is suitable for underground installation, direct burial, cable trenches, and harsh environments.
Cable Structure
- Conductor:
Made of aluminum alloy (typically AA-8000 series or AA-6201), offering good conductivity, high tensile strength, corrosion resistance, and reduced weight compared to copper conductors.
- Insulation:
Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation with a maximum continuous operating temperature of 90°C and short-circuit temperature up to 250°C (5 seconds). It provides excellent electrical insulation, thermal resistance, and aging performance.
- Inner Sheath:
PVC inner sheath used as bedding to protect the insulation layer and provide a smooth surface for armouring.
- Armour:
Galvanized steel wire armouring (SWA) provides strong mechanical protection against external forces, suitable for underground and direct burial installations.
- Outer Sheath:
PVC outer sheath offering good resistance to abrasion, moisture, chemicals, and flame propagation.
